PRT has capacity to grow and sell more than 320 million baby trees annually, across its 19 nursery locations, in 4 provinces and 3 states.As our Payroll Supervisor you are responsible for ensuring that all payroll and benefit processes are in compliance with various collective agreements, internal policy and procedure, state and provincial legislation. This role will assist with year end reporting, remittances and resolving issues while continuously looking for improvements in processes.Check out our career video at https://www.youtube.com/watchv=AsvfZdw_9m0What you need for this position with PRT:The ideal candidate will have:o A bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field of study,o PCP or CPM designation from the CPA, and FPC or CPP designation from the APA or equivalent work experienceo Five or more years of full cycle payroll experience for both Canada and the US, experience in a unionized environment would be seen as an assetExperience administrating benefit programs within Canada and the US including ACA and 401K reporting requirementso Thorough knowledge of payroll legislation including CRA, WCB and the Employment Standards Act(s)o Five or more years experience leading, mentoring and supervising teams, while providing support to a geographical spread teamo Strong planning, organization, and time management skills including a keen eye for details and working with tight timelineso Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS-Excel, MS-Outlook and with a Payroll/HRIS System, Avanti experience would be seen as an asseto Very good interpersonal and customer service skills to meet service standards and maintain effective customer communicationso Excellent verbal and written communications skillso Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentialityWhat a Position with PRT offers:o Competitive annual salary matching your level of experience and abilityo Bonus incentive programo Matching RRSP/DPSP programo Comprehensive benefits package inclusive of extended health and dental, with all premiums paid by the employero Support for ongoing career development and educationo Relocation allowance (if applicable)o We provide a supportive team structured environment, a strong safety culture, and a commitment to the environmento Our PRT nurseries are vibrant and fun communities with employees who share a strong passion for the “green” nature of our business and doing their part in regenerating the forests of North America.Location:The successful candidate will be based out of our Armstrong, BC Admin office, in the beautiful Okanagan.
