Keep reading to find out if this role is meant for you!Please note that this position is an 18 month long temporary term position.What youll be doing...The People and Culture Coordinator supports a wide variety of day-to-day People and Culture functions. As an integral member of the People and Culture team, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Act as the first point of contact for internal and external People and Culture inquiries.
  • Coordinator all aspects of the recruitment process by scheduling interviews, arranging testing/assignments, criminal record checks, and post-offer employment tests.
  • Administer the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and manage the recruitment process for all vacancies, including preparing postings, creating digital competition folders, and posting opportunities to various recruitment channels.
  • Process all new hire onboarding documentation.
  • Send internal communications including employee announcements.
  • Prepare orientation packages, benefit summaries and digital employee personnel files.
  • Assist with the creation and distribution of a variety of correspondence such as offer letters, letters of regret and employment verification letters.
  • Responsible for position creation/changes and data entry into the HR Information System.
  • Maintain and publishe organizational charts and monthly employee announcements
  • Communicate new hires, position changes and employee changes.
  • Manage the Employee Referral Program.
You are a self-starter who enjoys working in a fast paced enviroment where no two days are the same. You love problem solving and are extremely detail oriented. You are a natural “people person” who can effectively communicate with both internal and external customers.This position is based out of our Victoria Administration Office.   • Related experience in a professional office environment.
  • Knowledge of the concepts, practices and techniques of the Human Resources (People and Culture) field and familiarity of HRIS systems. Proven experience working in a similar setting within a unionized environment
  • Working knowledge of collective agreements
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities required, while completing a high volume of work accurately
  • Demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness and creativity in problem solving
