Dedicated to safety, excellence, innovation, and people, we are committed to continuously improving the west coast travel experience of our customers.PROJECT COORDINATOR, TERMINAL ENGINEERINGVictoria or TsawwassenA team player and detail-oriented professional, you perform a comprehensive range of project and technical coordination activities in support of the Terminal Engineering team during the planning and construction of terminal and marine projects, as well as other engineering related tasks. You will assist in the planning and assessments, procurement of services and materials, tender and contract preparation, and site supervision. Other duties include using Maximo applications, maintaining document control, and developing project schedules and monthly progress reports that highlight key issues of scope, schedule and budget variances. With guidance from your supervisor, you will also take responsibility for all processes of planning, contracting and executing smaller projects, as required.Project Coordinator positions are available with a focus on capital projects or a focus on Engineering Services such as condition assessments, maintenance of terminal facilities, responses to infrastructure failures, and engineering decisions. Candidates are requested to state their preferred area of focus in their cover letter.You are energetic with a positive attitude, displaying strong time management skills and judgement in all aspects of your work. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build and maintain relationships with the project team, department, contractors and other stakeholders. You also bring a demonstrated willingness and ability to undertake additional training and duties required for the position.You bring a diploma or degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering with the ability to be registered with ASTTBC or EGBC. You also possess two - five years of related engineering or construction industry experience. You have excellent organizational and time management skills, along with demonstrated technical ability and thorough understanding of applicable building codes, standards and regulations, and planning, design and construction methods relative to terminal construction.
