Position SummaryReporting to the Victoria Property Manager, this position provides a range of confidential and administrative functions to support the regional property management office. The Property Manager Assistant (PMA) will bring lived experience as an Indigenous person to the department and be responsible for the overall flow of work for the regional office and to provide exceptional customer service to our tenants while being mindful of M’akola’s vision and values. The successful candidate will receive training and mentorship for this position.This position is full-time, permanent, Monday – Friday, 35 hours/week based out of the Victoria regional office in Langford.*Responsibilities*
  • Provide administrative support and assistance to the Victoria Property Manager for all aspects of tenancy management and office operations;
  • Administer data management and tracking;
  • Prepare correspondence and notices;
  • Assist with emergency response coordination;
  • Follow M’akola policies and procedures as it relates to property management and operations;
  • Maintain an accurate filing system;
  • Conduct general duties to ensure office is clean and tidy;
  • Maintain and ensure equipment inventory and supplies are fully stocked;
  • Manage reception duties and provide excellent service to tenants, applicants, stakeholders and others;
  • Coordinate regional meetings in accordance to M’akola standards; and
  • Other related duties as required from time to time.
Experience
  • Experience in customer service and/or administration
  • Experience working with computers, particularly MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), training will be provided
  • Experience working in and with the Indigenous community preferred

Other
  • Current First Aid – Level 1 is considered an asset, if required, M’akola will pay for the course
