You will mentor with a team of licensed Rental Property Managers in all things related to the role while taking the licensing course with the goal of becoming a licensed Rental Property Manager within six months. The role day to day while taking the licensing course:
  • May include daily reception desk duties shared with the team of fellow Operations Coordinators.
  • Consistently demonstrate customer service excellence and help people.
  • Liaise with building owners, tenants, trades and other community members by telephone and email correspondence as well as in person.
  • Coordinate prospective tenant experience including scheduling and conducting property showings, screening and approving tenant applications.
  • Coordinate move-ins and move-outs.
  • Manage tenant issues through quick and efficient response to their requests.
  • Manage emergencies and conflict with decisive and calm demeanor, able to trouble shoot the situation and find positive solutions.
  • Manage checklists, processes, spreadsheets and necessary documentation including operating expenses and property inspections.
  • Develop relationships within our community to support growth of the rental portfolio of buildings.

Experienceamp; Qualifications:
  • Enthusiasm for working with people and systems.
  • 1+ years of experience in a customer service based role.
  • Excellent typing and knowledge of computer systems including Outlook, Word and Excel is required.
  • Valid driver #39;s license.
  • Suitable criminal record check.
  • Ability to handle multiple things going on at once including multitasking, meeting deadlines and maintaining clear communication with the team and clients.
Position Details:
  • This is a full-time position with a promotion to a permanent Rental Property Manager upon successful completion of the licensing course, our internal training program, and when a suitable portfolio is available.
  • Enrollment in the Rental Property Management course prior to employment is considered an asset.
  • $45,000 annually to start with an increase to $50,000 upon licensing.
  • Licensing and ongoing education costs covered through our education funding program.
  • Upon licensing, Property Managers are required to be on call for emergencies, which includes working evenings, overnight and weekends during the rotation based on call schedule.
  • You must be living in Victoria or within driving distance from our offices.
  • Working-from-home opportunities may be available once training has been completed (please note that in-office hours are required)
  • Your portfolio, once licensed will include properties all over Greater Victoria.
