Job Description

Business Operating Name: The Hotel Grand PacificTitle: Room AttendantPositions: 20Terms of Employment: Temporary, Full-Time (30-40 hr/week)Work Duration: 7 months (April-November)Hourly Wage: $22.70Benefit: Basic Benefit CoverageRelocation: Transportation and Accommodation covered by the employerLanguage of work: EnglishWork Location: Victoria, BCCompany Profile:Located on Victoria’s beautiful inner harbour, the Hotel Grand Pacific is looking for more Room Attendants to support our operations. As a member of the Housekeeping team, you will play an integral role in helping our independent hotel provide a superior level of service to our guests.Job Requirements/Qualifications:Job Description and Responsibilities:

  • Clean guestrooms––Sweep, mop, dust, make beds, change sheets, clean bathrooms and inside windows
  • Replenish rooms with supplies––distribute clean towels and toiletries
  • Attend to guests requests for extra supplies
  • Proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Remove soiled linen from rooms, retrieval of clean linen from linen closets
  • Stock linen closets and other supplies areas
  • Provide basic information on facilities, and report necessary maintenance items
  • Update and record all cleaned rooms
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures and service standards
Employment Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Previous experience in hotel environment is an asset
  • Must physically be able to: lift up to 50lbs, carry objects weighting up to 75lbs (including pushing equipment), stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, bend, twist, push, see, and hear
