The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.The Sergeant-at-Arms department is seeking a professional, diligent and customer service-oriented individual for the regular full-time position of Screening Officer.Reporting to the Security Scanning Supervisor the Screening Officer is responsible for overseeing the security screening process for all members of the public who enter the Parliament Building. The Screening Officer is often the first point of contact for individuals visiting the Legislative Assembly and must therefore be courteous, professional in sometimes stressful situations, and consistent in security procedures. Screening Officers are provided training to operate advanced security imaging hardware in order to detect potentially dangerous items and prevent their entry into the Parliament Building.QUALIFICATIONSApplicants must have:
