We also work with police departments and municipalities to help in keeping Canadians safe.Reach your full potential today!Location: DND Sites (Esquimalt Dockyard, Sooke, 443 Helicopter Squadron)Shifts: Various days, evenings, and overnight shiftsReports to: Site SupervisorStarting Wage: $18.05/hr (includes 2.5% RRSP cash)Job Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to clients and the general public.
• Provide access control and security foot/mobile patrols as needed.
• Proactively respond to and resolve emergency situations and conflicts.
• Complete evacuation and emergency response procedures when necessary.
• Using mobile phones and basic computer programs.
• Communicate problems or concerns to the site supervisor.
• Possess excellent multi-tasking, problem-solving, prioritizing and organizational abilities.
• Know occupational health and safety regulations – training provided.
• Perform all duties with high safety standards.

Required Education, Qualifications and Experience

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Ability to remain alert while on duty.
• Ability to work in a range of weather conditions throughout shift.
• Possess or be willing to attain a valid BC security workers license.
• Be comfortable using computers.
• Fluent in the English language - written, verbal and reading skills.
• Have a positive attitude with a professional demeanour.
• Have excellent attention to complete incident report writing.
• Have excellent problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable handling emergencies in a calm manner – training & support will be provided.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations.
