On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Senior Azure Consultant: Governanceamp; Cloud Migration to join our Client #39;s team on a contract basis. This role is Remote, and the Client is based in Victoria, BC.Summary of the RoleThe Senior Azure Consultant will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Azure Governance Framework within a large enterprise environment. The role involves overseeing security, policy, and cost management elements of Azure, supporting cloud migration workflows, and optimizing operational architecture.Dutiesamp; Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Azure governance models, policies, and security frameworks.
• Guide cloud migration processes and support operational architecture strategy.
• Implement and monitor Azure tools including Azure Resource Manager, Monitor, and Automation.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and cost control best practices.
• Provide expertise in hybrid cloud infrastructure and integration with on-premise systems.

Core Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure in enterprise environments.
• Proven background in Azure networking, security, and cloud architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Azure Monitor, and Azure Automation.
• Familiarity with Azure AD, RBAC, and Conditional Access.
• Experience in public sector or large, regulated environments.

Desired Skillsamp; Experience:

• Experience with cloud cost management and optimization.
• Knowledge of VPN and ExpressRoute for Azure integration.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Experience with complex multi-tenant Azure environments.
• Migration experience with legacy apps and cloud-native Azure solutions.

TermsThis is a 6-month contract with the possibility of renewal.
