The Social Worker works under the supervision of the Home Manager, and works in collaboration with other health care and support service team members.QUALIFICATIONS: · Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from an accredited School of Social Work· Registered, or eligible for registration with the BC College of Social Workers· Two years recent related clinical experience with similar population, e.g. older adults, those with cognitive impairments, mental health, dementia, addictions and/or behaviour disturbances, and Veterans Affairs of Canada· Negative TB Screen· Experience in palliative care and counselling an asset· preference may be given to applicants with prior long term care experienceKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: · Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary team members;· Ability to organize and prioritize workload;· Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing;· Ability to teach and facilitate groups;· Ability to work under minimal supervision;· Ability to utilize computer applications including email and word processing;· Ability to navigate overlapping health systems to access best desirable supports· Knowledge of local community resources related to mental health support and adults living with disabilities· Knowledge of legislative practice and process for long term careTo learn more about Broadmead Care please visit our website at www.broadmeadcare.com.Schedule: 8:30am - 4:30pm , Monday to Friday *Regular Full-Time*Competition #: 2022-219Please include the competition number in your subject line.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $37.23-$42.54 per hourBenefits:
