Job Description

JOB TITLE: Spring Camp LeaderLOCATION: City Centre Park located at 1097 Langford Parkway, Victoria BC.DEPARTMENT: Customer ServiceREPORTS TO: Camp Coordinator(s), Customer Service ManagerPOSITION TYPE: Full-time from July 4-September 2, with possibility of extensionADOPTED/REVISED DATE: May 16, 2022GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSEUnder the direct supervision of the Manager of Administration, the Spring Camp Leader is responsible for the implementation of various spring camps for children/youth. The Employee is expected to be a team player, provide positive leadership, and liaise between facility staff and the community.TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · provide direct leadership to the Spring Camps according to daily and weekly agendas established by the Camp Coordinator(s)· Responsible for the delivery of safe, healthy and enjoyable camps for children of all ages.· Lead and plan designated camp activities.· Follow all policies, procedures, and standards of the City Centre Park.· Performs other related duties as required.REQUIREMENTS/COMPENTENCIES· Standard 1st Aid· Criminal Record Check· Completion of High School or equivalent. University/College post-secondary school courses would be considered an asset.CORE CHARACTERISTICS

  • Leadership – ensures the day’s tasks run smoothly and takes the lead during busier times to assist with other positions.
  • Customer service focus – understands customer’s needs and is able to handle any issue that may arise throughout the day. Presents a courteous and well-mannered customer experience and will go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Positive attitude – takes pride in their work as well as having a positive attitude when dealing with customers and other staff members.
WORKING CONDITIONSWork is performed in the City Centre Park while overseeing all staff members and ensuring all Camps runs smoothly for the facility and the guests.
