Keep reading to find out if this role is meant for you!What youll be doing...As the Stockroom Supervisor you will be leading a team of stockroom and warehouse staff in the day-to-day workflow of Inventory Control, overseeing all daily activities. This individual will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and assigning work, including shipping and receiving, counter sales support, daily meetings, lost sales review, cycle counting and variance investigation, etc. They will be able to effectively lead a team in a fast paced enviroment and quickly switch gears to keep up changing priorities in the stockroom.The Stockroom Supervisor will be responsible for hiring, training, performance management of stockroom employees, while ensuring compliance of safe work practices. The successful candidate will be able to ensure the department meets budget while controlling operational costs. Ideally we are looking for a candidate with several years of supervisory experience within a stores enviroment where they have been responsible for inventory control in a computerized enviroment.Please note that this position will be required to work out of our Langford and Victoria Transit Centers.To view the full job description for this role please see the attached.What youll bring to the table...We value lifelong learners and have found the following combination of education and experience allows people to be successful in this role:

  • Experience working in a computerized stockroom environment
  • Previous Supervisory experience
  • MS Office
  • Class 5 drivers license
  • Knowledge of the concepts, practices and techniques of supply management
  • Knowledge of corporate strategies, functions and programs
  • Knowledge of the relevant policies, procedures and legislation
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to build internal and external relationships and manage communications between customers, users, vendors and the supply management team
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills to troubleshoot problems and develop solutions related to supply management issues
  • People leadership skills to manage reporting professional and support staff
