With over 125 staff, the IT Services Department provides the following services:Customer Service (Contact Centre, PharmaCare Help Desk, Service Desk, Info Support, and Prosthetics and Orthotics)IT Infrastructure Service DeliveryPharmaceutical Services Segment Development SupportMedical Services Segment Development SupportIT Development SupportAccess, Audit & Investigations ServicesShared Application Management ServicesRole SummaryThe Technical Analyst - Oracle Fusion Middleware Administrator will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and monitoring our Oracle middleware environment, and creating new middleware installations for specific projects.In addition, the successful candidate will have a background in on-premise Oracle Database administration in a Windows and/or UNIX environment. Previous experience would include upgrades and change planning, coordination of changes, process improvement, technical documentation, and Tier 2-3 operational support.The Oracle Fusion Middleware Administrator works closely with all Maximus Hosting Services professionals and the successful incumbent will be a member of the Hosting Services DBA team. Rotating on-call support as part of the Oracle DBA team will be required.Key ResponsibilitiesCollect and document user requirementsDesign and develop database architecture for information systems projectsDesign, construct, modify, integrate, implement, and test data models and database management systemsConduct research and provide advice to other information professionals regarding the selection, application, and implementation of database management toolsOperate database management systems to analyze data and perform data mining analysisDevelop and implement data administration policy, standards, and modelsResearch and document data requirements, data collection and administration policy, data access rules and securityDevelop policies and procedures for network and/or internet database access and usage and for the backup and recovery of dataConduct research and provide advice to other information systems professionals regarding the collection, availability, security, and suitability of dataWrite scripts related to stored procedures and triggersLead and co-ordinate teams and or supervision of data administrators in the development and implementation of data policies, standards and models.The successful candidate will be a problem solver who can also plan, analyze, and resolve business challenges within budget, and is comfortable with peer and supervisory feedback. You must possess a desire to learn and adopt new processes for continual improvement and to keep abreast of new technologies.
