(External) English Responsibilities:About the opportunityYou bring user-centered thinking and strong experience in technical communication. You are intensely curious about learning the details of our products, and able to quickly understand and disseminate clear information about our products. In this role, you will work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to produce and deliver technical content that helps our users manage their electrical systems with our hardware and software products.ResponsibilitiesGather and interpret technical information from multiple sourcesComply with standards, best practices, and associated procedures to deliver print, online, and multi-media technical documentationWork collaboratively with a global team, based primarily in North AmericaEvaluate and improve the quality of existing technical contentMaintain and continuously improve the effectiveness of the information development processesAssist with information development requests and suggestionsAssist with information development priorities and vision(External) English Qualifications:Qualifications3 or more years of professional technical writing experience in a software or hardware company.Strong ability to develop clear and concise technical content in English, adhering to defined document standards.Experienced and skilled at gathering information, interviewing subject matter experts, and organizing content structure.Excellent interpersonal skills: team player, able to deal effectively with people, self-motivatedStrong time management skills and ability to establish and communicate work priorities, and balance varying demands.Available to travel occasionally may be required.Desired qualificationsDedication to keeping up to date with current technology trends and best practices in technical communication.Familiarity with tools such as MadCap Flare, the Adobe Technical Communication Suite, or Oxygen XML Editor.Experience developing visual information, using tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign is a plus.Familiarity with video-editing tools such as Adobe Captivate/Premier Pro, or Camtasia is a plus.Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.Experience working in multi-disciplinary, geographically distributed teams.Let us learn about you!
