Job Description

Tapestry is an active aging community for independent adults. At Tapestry, residents live healthy, engaged, purposeful and socially connected lives and experience personalized, resident-centric service. Reporting to the Wellness Manager, the Wellness Associate is responsible for assisting with the planning, development and delivery of programs, activities and initiatives that support Tapestry’s focus on engaging our residents by anchoring a culture of wellness aligned to the 7 Dimensions of Wellness. This full-time role is critical to delivering programs and services that help our residents remain independent and live a healthy and fulfilled life in a vibrant community that operates 7-24/365 days per year.Qualifications & Requirements

  • University/college degree/diploma in Gerontology, Kinesiology, Therapeutic Recreation, Leisure Studies, Psychology and/or a related discipline
  • Experience coordinating program operations and creating plans to deliver events that maximize our residents’ experience and anchor our culture of wellness which earned top honours in North America in 2022 as determined by the International Council on Active Aging and NuStep
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a fast-paced, high-quality community
  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products
  • CPR & First Aid designation
  • Excellent communicator; detailed-oriented, multi-tasker; impeccable service focus and collaborative team player with a passion for wellness across all 7 dimensions
  • Class 4 Driver’s License required or willing to obtain
