As a Excavator Operator you will support plant needs by ensuring a safe and productive work environment. In this position, you will have the opportunity to use different skills every day as you learn the aggregate industry and fill in for vacancies in various areas of our plant.$35.04/hourWhat You Will Get to Do:

• Operate mobile equipment at Inlands Sand and Gravel Pit (Excavator Operator loader, haul truck, water truck, etc.)
• Maintain cleanliness of plant work areas
• AssistPit Lead hand with pit works including dewatering Pump Checks, lubrication, maintenance, repairs
• Transport materials to and from storage and shop areas
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures; assist with physical inspections of plant property/departments.

Who We Are Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience using (or ability to learn) plant mobile equipment
• Previous experience in an open pit sand and gravel mine
• Desire to work cooperatively as part of a productive team
• Ability to work safely, and independently without constant supervision
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Capable of learning through on the job training
• Able to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditions
• In good physical condition, able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on varied terrain
• Ability to work different extended hours, holidays and/or overtime required
