Bethesda requires a Full-Time Contract, Infection Prevention and Control (“IPACâ€) Coordinator. This is a 6 month contract.Working to promote the IPAC fundamentals throughout the Hamilton, Niagara, Haldimand, Norfolk and Brant regions and be a professional, positive and knowledgeable representative of Bethesda. Will provide support to the IPAC Champion through administrative, training, and presentation supports. Will provide IPAC supports throughout the regions identified and will respond to agency needs promptly, efficiently and with a high degree of competency.Key Job Responsibilities· Schedule meetings, appointments· Research to identify IPAC current and best practices and develop resources to promote and educate agencies· Maintain a variety of databases to track and trend information related to IPAC measures across all regions· Track agency metrics such as questions from service providers, audits, orders etc.· Provide on-site support such as N-95 Fit testing, IPAC assessments or audits, policy and procedure review· Provide regular communication with service providers to share information, provide updates or revisions to guidance and directives· Manage and update distribution list for HNHB agencies· Provide implementation supports and IPAC recommendations to agencies in a timely manner· Remain current with PHO, MCCSS and NRPH IPAC guidance and directives· Provide support to the IPAC Champion as required and requested· Attend meetings as required· Research and, assist to develop materials on IPAC best practices that are relevant to current goals and objectives.· Provide and Review educational resources and other materials with agencies Develop web-based training and videos in conjunction with HNHB IPAC Hub· Establish and maintain familiarity with the latest in texts, materials, teaching aids, and training techniques relevant to IPAC and its goals and objectives.Qualifications· 3 year College Diploma in a related field· Strong administrative skills with knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)· Strong written communication skills· Strong working knowledge using IPAC principles· Strong working knowledge of congregate care and supports provided· Excellent at creating high quality presentations using a variety of technologies (e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint, etc.)· Advanced written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of learning· Excellent listening, observing, and questioning skills· Strong customer service mindset· Strong time management and prioritization skills· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills· Strong sense of professionalism and diplomacy· Strong attention to detail· Strong work ethic and positive team attitudeJob Types: Full-time, Fixed term contractContract length: 6 monthsSchedule:
