Job Description

We are committed to working together and to getting everyone home safe every day.Tundra has an opportunity for a Surface Land Coordinator based out of our Virden, Manitoba office. The incumbent in this role will be eligible to participate in Tundra’s flexible hybrid work schedule.The Surface Land Coordinator will be responsible for area coordination with business development team(s) and leasing representative(s) for all acquisitions of surface leases, right-of-way, and facilities as it relates to the business development team(s) needs along with surface administration.Reporting to the Surface Land Manager, some specific duties and responsibilities of the Surface Land Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordination with leasing representative(s) for all surface acquisition
  • Area administration and support for all surface team(s) requirements
  • Coordination of process from well inception, well site surveys and associated internal approvals
  • Input, update and maintenance of surface acquisitions in CS Explorer and ArcGIS
  • Request cheques for surface payments and ensure prompt payment
  • Assist with business development team communication and workflow management
  • Ensure all surface licensing requirements are met in advance of well license application
  • Track, review, code and approve invoices
  • Provide support and assist with process implementation
  • Provide support to field operations inquiries
  • Provide support to abandonment and reclamation program
  • Analyze and remain current on applicable policies and regulation affecting surface rights, environmental and land access issues
  • Commitment to demonstrating a high level of professionalism, self-discipline and integrity
Candidates for this position will possess the following qualifications and competencies:
  • Previous Surface Land Administration experience is required
  • Minimum 3-5 years prior Surface Land experience is required
  • Saskatchewan and or Manitoba surface land coordination and/or administration experience is an asset
  • System experience in CS Explorer, ArcGIS and Generwell is beneficial
  • Demonstrates leadership, communication, time management, multi-tasking, attention to detail and organizational skills
  • The ability to self-start, manage and prioritize workloads while effectively working as a team member and communicating effectively
  • High level of enthusiasm and willingness to take initiative
  • Accepts ownership and delivers on commitments
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Must possess a high level of initiative, adaptability and flexibility
  • An enthusiastic, personable, team-oriented individual
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
