Job Description

Referral clerkone (1) casual positionWabasca, AlbertaThe Bigstone Referral Unit in Wabasca, AB is seeking one (1) Casual Referral Clerk to join our talented Health Team at our Wabasca, Alberta location. This is a rewarding opportunity if you have an appreciation for First Nation culture, a desire for continuing professional development and enjoy the support and collaboration from our multidisciplinary team and various other professionals and agencies.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer switchboard
  • Schedule trips out of town and locally
  • MTRS/MTDS data entry on a daily basis
  • Arrange flights
  • Arrange out of town accommodations
  • Arrange out of town taxi/bus services
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
  • Good knowledge of office procedures
  • Be extremely observant to detail and accuracy
  • Must be able to work in a diverse environment with frequent interruptions
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Must be a team player and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Confidentiality is strictly enforced
  • Develop strong relationships and work cooperatively with drivers and clients
Qualification Requirements:
  • Experience with MS Office databases and other related software applications
  • High School Education
  • Two (2) years clerical experience required
  • Must be able to type 35 wpm
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Must be up to date on all immunizations
  • Must be able to do shift work (days, evenings, weekends and holidays)
  • Speak and understand the Cree language is an asset
