Our farm is not only a place the animals live, it’s a family.We strive to help all animals big and small live vibrant, healthy, and long lives through a holistic and natural approach.Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be a proactive thinker, and have many diverse responsibilities. They will be expected to support the farm manager and owner in whatever capacity is needed at the time.Responsibilities include:

• Feeding the animals on the farm
• Hands on animal care (both large and small animals) including documenting any changes in their health, along with daily health log upkeep for the farm manager
• Daily remedy and medicinal needs for all animals
• General upkeep of the barn and farm (keeping areas tidy)
• Picking manure in stalls
• Helping in hay season, planting, and harvesting
• Fence maintenance

Experience that would also be beneficial: Small and large animal careVeterinary technicianHeavy machine skill sets (tractor, excavator, etc)Wood cutting and splittingOrganic farmingOperate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Working with a tractor (blowing snow, moving manure, cutting and baling hay)The ideal candidate must be:

• A hard worker and understands that a career on a farm is a lifestyle that is not 9-5
• A team player
• Highly organized
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexible when it comes to scheduling
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively
• Ability to work under pressure and possess the flexibility and resiliency to switch gears in a moment’s notice, maintaining a professional and positive attitude
• Available for on call emergencies including but not limited to weather, sick team members, or sick animals, etc

Horse knowledge is a must. Successful applicant must be reliable, grounded, mature, happy, KIND, and willing to learn a completely holistic approach. Must be a non-smoker.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $31,200.00-$37,500.00 per yearSchedule:

• 8 - 10 hour shifts
• On call
• Weekends and evening required
