People like you!JOB SUMMARYWe are currently seeking Seasonal Tractor Operator at our Alberta site. The primary function of this role is to operate tractor, maintenance and conduct routine operational tasks. Reporting to the Bog Manager, the role will maintain safety and quality by ensuring operation of equipment.Please note: The Peat Tractor Operator is a weather permitting position.LOCATIONWandering River, AlbertaWHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

WHEN YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL BE:
  • Operating heavy machinery such as a tractor with a vacuum harvester or harrows
  • Ensuring that machinery, equipment and tools are operational by performing routine and preventative maintenance (i.e. greasing tractor) and cleaning the machinery and equipment.
  • Willingness to train and perform duties in the plant when bog operations are suspended due to weather conditions. This includes:
    • Mowing and trimming grass
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience Required: 1-2 years of experience operating a tractor and performing minor maintenance
  • Ability to work as a part of a small team in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Valid Driver #39;s License
Terms of Employment:
  • Seasonal (July - December)
  • Full-Time – 7-12 hours/day
  • 40-70 Hours/week
  • Early Mornings/Morning/Day/Evenings/Weekend shifts
