Job Description

Are you looking for an opportunity to embrace a leadership position where you’ll be able to nurture effective team cohesion, assist with forecasting, planning, mentoring and all while leading the Banquet and Outlets teams to deliver excellent customer service If so, we are looking for an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join us at our dynamic and energetic resort.You will be responsible for assisting the Food & Beverage Manager and Director of F&B in overseeing Banquets and the Outlets (The Wyld and Fredrich Restaurants) at Elk Ridge Resort . You will be in charge of executing all Weddings at Elk Ridge Resort and will also assist with meetings, corporate functions and in-house events.Our ideal Assistant Food & Beverage Manager will be highly motivated and committed to consistently making a positive impact on guest experiences at Elk Ridge Resort. This position is an extremely important member of our F&B team and because of the nature of this role, it’s important that you are reliable, maintain a positive attitude, have the ability to manage the day-to-day stresses in a professional manner. You are highly collaborative and organized, enjoy working in a team environment, can take direction but can also self-direct, and truly enjoy working with people of all types, in all scenarios.The role is highly demanding, very rewarding and fast-paced. It is essential to be skilled in communication; critical thinking is essential as the role frequently interacts with different people.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise daily F&B/culinary shift operations and monitors compliance with all F&B policies, standards and procedure, meeting the expectations of guests on a daily basis
  • Schedule, train and supervise staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs, and ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Order F&B supplies
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
  • Provide services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Serve as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviours.
  • Take proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns.
  • Focus on safety and health standards to ensure safe working conditions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE2+ years experience in a similar role or 4+ years of experience in F&B, Front of House, with strong leadership skills and a desire and passion to be in a leadership role.We are located just 7 minutes outside of the Prince Albert National Park, surrounded by the boreal forest, pristine lakes, and natural wildlife.
