Keeping the customer and requirements squarely in focus, people who deliver safe and robust solutions.Job OverviewUnder the direction of Marketing leadership, the Medical Education Program Manager– Spine/CMF/ET will assist with the development, budgeting and delivery of Stryker medical education and sales training programs for Spine & CMF divisions in Canada. This individual will also be intimately involved in the review and processing of third-party educational grant applications and management of conference and trade show relationships and sponsorships annually as required by the businesses. Further to the above noted activities, this individual will also support the roll-out and implementation of strategic product and/or service launches to the selling team and prioritized product marketing activities as assigned by their Manager.This individual must serve as a contributing member of the Marketing team while championing Stryker’s Mission and Values.What you will doIndividual Responsibilities:

  • Proactively collaborates with internal teams/departments to promote a culture of inclusiveness and cooperation

Functional Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Product Managers or marketing leadership to develop a detailed, strategic and targeted plan for the education of end users and selling teams
  • Responsible for creating and executing medical education strategy with regards to event trade show planning
  • Manage and coordinate all third-party educational grant activities
  • Partake in product education and onsite demonstrations with surgeon community both on-site at hospital locations as well as conference and trade show events
  • Responsible for strategic product and service initiatives as assigned by direct manager
  • Manage the development and distribution of marketing materials and promotions for the specific portfolio and curriculum for educational initiatives
  • Play a lead role in planning surgeon led Speakers Bureaus designed to educate current health care professionals on the safe and effective use of Stryker products
  • Responsible for medical education strategy with regards to local and international Surgical Observations/Mentorships and International Surgeon Training
  • Provide all planning and logistics support to the Marketing team for Medical Education programs including; budget creation, developing publications, registration, agenda, managing onsite product and personnel requirements and logistics
  • Collect market intelligence and evaluate trends in assigned market segments to determine competitive threat or competing technologies
  • Engage in regular field visits to support customer and sales rep education
  • Establish productive business relationships with the International Marketing groups
  • Coordinate with the Operations group to continually improve the Customer Experience
  • Assist marketing team in sales support and support customer presentations and discussions, including conferences

What you needKnowledge & Skill Requirements
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills
  • A fundamental knowledge of event planning
  • Appreciation for the “solution” approach to the sales complex medical equipment
  • A strong comfort level in clinical setting (operating rooms, hospitals, etc.)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Ability to consistently produce accurate, professional work
  • Ability to travel (up to 15% of the time)
  • Self-started with the ability to show significant initiative in problem resolutions
  • High energy level with strong people skills and a positive attitude
  • Able to develop good rapport with internal stakeholders and external sales force
  • Strong presentation skills
Education & Qualifications
  • Diploma and/or Degree required
  • Event planning experience is an asset
  • Relevant experience in healthcare or affiliated field an asset
  • Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be considered
