If you are an applicant with a disability, we will work with you to make reasonable workplace accommodations you may need for your best work performance.We are looking for an experienced Annual Fund and Parent Engagement Officer to join our Advancement Team. Reporting to our Executive Director of Advancement, this position supports the design and execution of fundraising strategies and is responsible for ensuring annual fundraising benchmarks and performance goals are achieved. The ideal candidate will be a passionate, organized, flexible and energetic self-starter who is looking to become a part of a vibrant educational community. This is a Permanent Full-Time position.Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and execute a comprehensive Annual Giving program with targeted solicitations, appeals and activities to increase participation and donations from all constituency groups
  • Lead the strategic planning process and execution of the Annual Giving program, including the production schedule, calendar of activities/events, optimal solicitation and segmentation methods, donor stewardship and recognition, program budget, data analysis and campaign evaluation/progress updates
  • Develop strategies to increase giving participation
  • Develop strategies to better engage staff and faculty in the promotion and support of the Tartan Fund, develop student engagement opportunities.
  • Develop and implement all Annual Giving creative, collateral and branding materials for a variety of channels and platforms with support from the communications team
  • Write and create Annual Giving donor impact reports, stories and articles/features
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive donor relations programme to enhance the donor experience and promote a culture of philanthropy through the acknowledgement/stewardship process -including recognition events, multi-platform communications and the Donor Report
  • Support the identification of prospective leadership and major gift donors, develop engagement strategies for increasing participation, and move donors to higher giving levels
  • Develop, maintain and steward a curated portfolio of prospects and donors in support of school fundraising priorities, programs and events
  • Track and capture constituent engagement and activity in the Raisers’ Edge database, in conjunction with the Database Officer
  • Liaise with the Database Officer to oversee the timely processing and acknowledgment of gifts
  • Support new parent engagement strategies, attend school and local-area events to build and deepen relationships and develop a personal profile within the community
  • Support Parent’s Council fundraising initiatives (ex: Gala, Spring Fair) when needed
  • Manage parent engagement including maintaining and promoting Industry Connections Database (liaise with faculty on their needs).
  • Special event coordination including Parents Conference and Grandparents and Special Friends Day
  • Maintain current knowledge of CRA, charitable giving, and privacy rulings and regulations
  • Consideration and implementation of practices that promote Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
  • Additional duties as required
Requirements
  • University degree or diploma in fundraising, communications, marketing or related field
  • 3 -5 years’ related experience in fundraising, including donor engagement and implementing fundraising strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and courteously with others
  • Excellent writing abilities, including ability to draft compelling and persuasive correspondence to donors and prospects
  • Experience conducting special events and managing volunteers
  • High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Donor database management system experience an asset
  • A second language is an asset
  • Canadian residency and legally entitled to work in Canada
