Your Opportunity:The Medworxx Informatics Specialist/Acute Consultant in the North Zone Program and Performance portfolio is a leadership position reporting to the Acute Care Executive Director.Description:The position provides expert support to Leadership and operations in the development, implementation and evaluation of provincial and zone program planning, implementation and compliancy of new initiatives, guidelines, and evidence based pathways. Conduct acute focused service review providing recommendations, actions plans and ongoing support. The consultant works closely with a number of zone and provincially based programs to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and maintain quality assurance programs. Facilitates, coordinates and supports the implementation of educational in-services and continuing education programming and implements policy, procedure, protocol and technology changes to promote staff competency in the provision of safe quality care, bed management and patient navigation. Provides direct support to zone leadership and frontline staff during risk analysis, quality assurance reviews, accreditation processes and other service evaluations. Provide representation for the North Zone provincially as required. The candidate will be organized, motivated and prepared to work closely with management and stakeholders to respond to acute care needs as required within the North Zone. Medworxx responsibilities include the coordination of clinical information systems and information management for Medworxx in the North Zone, analysis and development of enhancements to the Medworxx systems as well as problem management related to information management and information technology. Providing ongoing systems support and education to nurses, physicians, support staff, patients/families and allied personnel within its specialty function and scope. The incumbent will function in a supportive role to the management team, representing the North Zone in the regional Medworxx initiatives. Strong computer, data analysis and report development are required.
