Job Description

SummaryTo be responsible for the overall maintenance of a private residence and assisting in different capacities the household’s varying needs.Responsibilities

  • Day to day running of the property to maintain standards and efficiency.
  • Make sure everything is spotless, tidy, in order and in good working order.
  • Be responsible for the cleanliness and safety of outdoor area.
  • Make sure the outside of the house is always clean: doors, walls, lights, entry, etc.
  • Ensure the proper operation and regular maintenance of the various equipment of the residence with an annual planning with detailed scheduling.
  • Identifying maintenance and repair projects.
  • Plan and supervise the maintenance work when suppliers are requested including quote inquiry and analysis. In addition, follow up with work not completed or to be executed in several stages.
  • Be present when contractors come at the residence to serve as the resource person and supervise the execution of the work.
  • Manage the time and maintain a time log of the contractors #39; work.
  • Ensuring all the residence’s equipment are functioning normally, including the Wi-Fi, lighting, A/C, heating, A/V, Smart Home, swimming pools, sprinkler system, etc.
  • Indoor and outdoor maintenance; small repairs, flower planting, hedge cutting, lawn mowing, managing / maintaining a vegetable garden, moving sprinklers, pool maintenance, snow removal, etc.
  • Keeping of a daily activity log.
  • Chauffeur duties as needed.
  • Security surveillance of the property, including responding to alarms and emergencies.
  • Handling general requests as needed.
Qualifications and requirements
  • Minimum of five (5) years similar work experience.
  • Excellent French and good English language skills.
  • Experience in hands-on household work and knowledge of all areas of property maintenance.
  • Flexibility to work outside of strict job description parameters.
  • Flexibility in working hours and tolerance for last-minute changes.
  • Strong follow through from start to finish on projects.
  • Have strong team work spirit, diplomacy and tact.
  • Have a great sense of planning and organization.
  • Have a sense of detail.
  • To be autonomous and a sense of initiative.
  • Behave professionally at all time.
  • Have the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving skill.
  • Having a great sense of confidentiality and discretion is a must.
  • Work as a team and collaborate with other house and managerial staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Be physically fit and able to reach and lift heavy weight objects (e.g. 50 lbs+).
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Must have a valid driver #39;s licence and a good driving record.
Additional information
  • Part-Time
  • Work days: Monday to Thursday (flexibility required).
  • Work hours: 6:00 am to 1:00 pm (flexibility required).
  • Live-out
