Facility Service Worker - INS002232Employment Type: Permanent Part-timeLocation(s): SK-South East-WeyburnMinistry: 013 Saskbuilds and ProcurementSalary Range: $19.119 - $23.961 HourlyGrade: SGEU.03.The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement, Property Management Branch, South region, is seeking an individual to join their service team to provide a variety of maintenance duties in government facilities within Weyburn, Saskatchewan.As a member of a service-oriented team, you will draw upon proven maintenance experience and possess mechanical aptitude to perform minor repairs and maintenance such as unplugging toilets and drains, replacing valves, taps and washers, hanging shelves, dismantling and reassembling walls to meet client requests. You will also perform checks to HVAC equipment (i.e. boiler checks, maintain logs and life safety equipment) ensuring safe operating standards are maintained and met. In addition, you will respond to client inquires and requests.You will be responsible for providing a variety of grounds maintenance duties such as equipment repairs, blowing out water lines before freeze up, and snow removal.You must be in good physical condition in order to perform a variety of manual activities. The successful candidate will be required to operate heavy-duty cleaning equipment, climb ladders and lift heavy objects. Candidates must possess a valid Firemans Certificate or be willing to achieve the certificate within 6 months of employment, along with a valid drivers licence.The successful candidate will have working knowledge of building operations, repairs and maintenance as well as working knowledge of the standard methods, materials, tools and practices of carpentry, plumbing and electrical systems.
