What We DoWe provide services to our clients for health, safety and environmental monitoring.Why We Do ItWe help to protect and support workers on remote industrial sites.How We Do ItWith world class training, we serve to protect workers, assets and the communities where we work.About The RoleThe primary function of the High Angle Rescue Technician is to provide confined space and technical rope rescue standby.ResponsibilitiesInspectionsInspect, inventory and document High Angle Rescue equipment to ensure all equipment is ready to useSet up and test communications and alarm systemsEnsure all gas detection and breathing apparatus equipment is inspected prior to use and passes all function testsAssessment & PlanningAssist in assessing ricks, preparing rescue equipment and planning practical and effective solutions towards safe work practicesEducation & CertificationsNFPA 1006 Technical Rescuer Professional qualification or similar qualifications(IRATA/SPRAT may be considered)H2S AliveStandard First Aid Level CCSTSCSOConfined Space Entry (OSSA)Fall Protection (OSSA/ESC)A valid, unrestricted Driver's Licence (Please note, a valid licence does not include a Learner's Permit or Graduated Licence)A Driver's Abstract indicating an unrestricted licence with no serious traffic safety violations and 4 or less convictions of any type in the last 36 monthsRequirementsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenGood vision/hearingClean shaven each day for shiftWorking at heights and / or climbing laddersWorking in small / confined spacesLifting up to 75lbsPushing / pulling (tools / objects)Sitting / drivingBending / kneeling / crouchingStanding / walking for long periods of timeWorking in adverse weather environments (heat / cold) and conditions (rain /wind)Potential shift lengths 10 12 hours, should be available to work longer if client requirements demand longer shifts or schedule changesEmployee must ensure that they are staying hydrated, alert and fit for duty at all timesExperience2 years or more epxerience with High Angle & Confined Space RescueRunning breathing apparatus equipment would be considered an assetIndustrial Firefighting and/or Paramedical experience would be considered an assetPersonal CharacteristicsProblem Solver - Hustles to find a solution; willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job doneCommunicator - Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in many mediums, including the ability to follow directions and provide feedback while remaining pleasant and articulateOther DetailsWe are looking for candidates that reside within 1 hour from Lloydminster for this position.This role does require proof of a successful Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Screen and a standardized 75 lb/36 kg Physical Fitness Test that is arranged and paid for by HSE.This job posting communicate the top priorities for success and does not reflect the entire role; a complete job description will be provided to those in the final interview process.We welcome all qualified candidates to apply, the diversity of our workforce reflects the communities we serve.Professional references may be requires from former hiring manager(s) and supervisor(s).
