They adopt a community engagement mindset by developing and maintaining effective relationships with schools, community groups, agencies, and non-profits that target youth in order to plan and deliver services and programs that meet the needs of local teens. They leverage community experts, coaches and mentors for services and programs in order to meet teen needs and interests. They provide leadership and mentorship opportunities for young adults including those with diverse backgrounds and abilities. They use the full range of social media, equipment, hardware and software available in the branch as well as effectively search the library’s electronic information sources. They also assist in the delivery of public library services from a city public library branch by providing reference services, operate the circulation desk and support overall library services. They are expected to refer unusual or difficult problems to their supervisor or designate.TYPICAL DUTIES:
