Job Description

Summary:The Adventure Group’s mission is to create spectacular experiences for people that lead to moments of personal growth. While behind the scenes, the Audio/Visual Tech Specialist works closely with our partner media production company, Moment Factory, to lead the delivery of the multimedia light walk.Responsibilities and Deliverables:

  • Diagnose high level technical faults on show control playback equipment and related infrastructure during live shows
  • Supports supervisor in training and support of A/V crew. Helps Supervisor prioritize and delegate workload and tasks for A/V crew
  • Work with the contractors and suppliers regarding repair and maintenance of any show control equipment
  • Ensure pre-recorded content is reproduced accurately on all sound, light and video output devices
  • Assist the Audio/Visual Supervisor in coordinating the set-up, packdown and operations of all audio and visual equipment
  • Work within a given budget for all purchases related to the role
  • Support daily maintenance work of all A/V equipment and related infrastructure
  • Respond to last minute requests or changing priorities to ensure maintenance supports operational delivery
  • Supports management and care of all TAG owned equipment including but not limited to vehicles, tools, show controls
  • Ensure workshop and areas are clean and tidy
Key Qualifications and Attributes:
  • Previous experience working within AV is an asset
  • A hands-on approach with practical skills and prior experience with basic hand tools is an asset
  • Openness to learn and grow skills
  • Be able to think outside the box and look for better working practices and efficiencies
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions, be mobile and on your feet for majority of shift, able to lift 30 lbs and comfortable working on ladders
  • Highly organized and a great communicator
  • Positive attitude and willing to help out and learn
  • Have good computer skills and be able to use various software programs
  • Service orientation: committed and driven to provide a high level of service to stakeholders
  • Flexible to changing priorities
  • First aid an asset
