Job Description

Job DescriptionWestern Canada’s premier residential system integration company specializing in high-end home automation and audio/video is seeking AV Electronic Service Technicians.The Service Technician will execute home electronics integration and installation projects from individual residences to complex multi-unit apartment developments. The majority of our jobs are in Whistler, so the ideal candidate would reside in Squamish but not exclusive to. If not residing in the Squamish/Whistler area, you must be willing and able to travel to Whistler daily with no issue. This person will work in the field through all phases of each project from prewire to commissioning as well as occasionally performing service work for existing installations if required. Systems being integrated include Audio, Video, Security (Including CCTV and Access Control), Lighting Control, Motorized Window Treatments, Telephone and Intercom, and Whole Home Automation.The ideal candidate will have had 2+ years field experience in AV and Systems Integration (commercial or residential), Car Audio, Security or Commercial DataComm.Responsibilities and Duties

  • Follow project documentation to execute complex AV and Integration Projects
  • Able to interact with all team members and project stakeholders including clients, design professionals, and contractors
  • Able to effectively communicate internally with project management team on project related issues
  • Able to effectively troubleshoot technical issues in complex integrated projects
Qualifications and Skills
  • 2+ years’ experience AV and Systems Integration (commercial or residential), Car Audio, Security or Commercial DataComm
  • Strong verbal communication skills (Fluency in English is required for this position)
  • Strong general computer skills
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and operate hand and power tools (saws, drills, screwdrivers, etc.)
  • Willing to learn quickly and enjoys challenges
  • Commitment to quality, team success and continuous improvement
