Job Description

Blueline Contracting is seeking an experienced Journeyman Carpenter to join our Squamish/Whistler team.We build high performance custom homes in the Sea to Sky and have several exciting projects lined up for 2022. We are looking to add an experienced and detail oriented carpenter to our tight knit team.CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Min 10 years as a carpenter
  • Min 5 years working on custom residential
  • Forming, Framing and Siding experience is critical - you should be experienced in these areas
  • able to read plans and execute with accuracy

Journeyman Carpenter is responsible for the day to day execution of a wide range of building tasks on site including:* provide quality workmanship consistent with BCBC and company quality standards* provide leadership and decision making on all site carpentry tasks* forming/ framing including timber work* cladding/soffitting - cedar/hardie/flashing work* finishing including trim, millwork install, etc* manage small crew - apprentice and/or labourer* maintain site safety and identify/manage safety issues* provide mentorship to apprentices* integrate into a motivated, vested team who takes pride in their work, and is committed to the team project goals* transportation and cell phone* personal tools, boots, all personal safety gearPREFERENCE TO: * experience* previous supervision roles* shop / finishing work experience* red seal* first aid certsPlease include current references with your replyJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $35.00-$45.00 per hourBenefits:
