Job Description

The Housekeeping Inspector is responsible for supervising the Housekeeping team including Housekeepers and Houseman. A Inspector provides leadership, direction, and guidance to the team, ensuring the guest rooms are cleaned and maintained to the highest level of service.Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To assist in supervising and overseeing the performance of the housekeeping department.
  • To assume the responsibilities of the housekeeping department in the absence of the Housekeeper Manager.
  • Prepare daily room assignments and key distribution to room attendants.
  • Daily room inspections.
  • Communicate with Front Desk with status of rooms, checkouts, and stay-overs.
  • Input guestroom information into computer system.
  • Assist with cleaning rooms as needed.
  • Conduct performance reviews and performance management as required.
Prerequisites: The ideal candidate is a seasoned housekeeping professional with outstanding, supervisory or management skills and extensive hands-on experience. Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.Education: A post secondary education in hotel management is an asset. Must have excellent verbal, written and computer system skills.Experience: Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Housekeeper. Preference given for luxury resort and international experience.Benefits & Perks
