Job Description

Job DescriptionAs a Pastry Cook at Fairmont Chateau Whistler, you will be a key member of our culinary team, and work seamlessly with the wider food and beverage team to ensure excellent products for our guests!This is a full-time permanent position, starting as soon as possible.Starting Rate of Pay: Pastry First Cook: $23.90 per hourWe recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the hourly rate would be $27.85

    Job Duties Include:
    • Prepare, cook and service all food items for a la carte, buffet menus, and individual dishes
    • Organize and manage buffets and banquets, manage kitchen operations
    • Have full knowledge of all menu’s items, daily features and promotions
    • Ensure proper labeling, dating and storage of all items in the kitchen
    • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
    • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and handle guest allergy concerns with appropriate care and importance
