• Responsible for offering a warm, friendly, and professional experience to guests and staff.

• Ensure the quality and cleanliness of all areas of Scandinave Spa Whistler.

• Complete the following tasks with leadership, keeping the Spa Experience and Housekeeping teams motivated and guiding the team to a high standard of service.

• Hourly rate: $26.78/hr

*T*asks & Responsibilities: General Operation of the Site

• Supervise the daily operations of the Spa Experience team.

• Perform opening and closing procedures, and ensure the team are completing tasks properly.

• Support the Spa Experience team with any guest service situations.

• Perform technical duties including:

• Test water quality (Chlorine, PH and TDS levels).

• Maintain sauna fire and ambiance fireplaces.

• Check feature temperatures.

• Check and ensure the functionality of the different pumps/motors.

• Report any problems to the Maintenance team.

• Ensure cleanliness, order, and quality of the entire site:

• Locker rooms

• Massage Pavilion

• All solariums

• All Spa features

• All outdoor areas

• In tandem with the Night Housekeeping team, supervise the cleanliness of the spa including the work of temp personnel and outsourced cleaning company personnel.

• Knowledge of all services and products offered at The Scandinave Whistler, including all policies of the Spa i.e., Silence guarantee and electronic free areas.

• Assist in completing stock-take, inventory and ordering for Spa Experience & Housekeeping.

• Assist in creating department and position-specific procedures.

Leadership

• Assist in addressing any performance issues with team members in a timely manner.

• Assist in providing feedback for performance reviews.

• Plan and release the weekly schedules for the Spa Experience team.

• Assist the Spa Experience and Housekeeping Manager with planning the Housekeeping team schedule.

• Provide continued training to new and existing team members on tasks, and procedures.

• Train, coach and mentor Spa Experience Team Leads and Attendants.

• Ensure an equal division of daily tasks within the team.

• Run the weekly Team Lead meetings and assign tasks.

• Work closely with all departments and always ensure communication and teamwork.

• All other tasks requested of you for the smooth and efficient function of the Scandinave Spa Whistler.

*P*rerequisites:

• Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role required

• Previous experience in customer service required

• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint

• Must possess a professional presentation

• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team

• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

• Always demonstrate good team spirit and a positive attitude.
