• Ensure all operating equipment is clean and properly stored
• Ensure regular maintenance and cleaning of kitchen equipment and reporting of any defects.
• Ensu re proper handling of all equipment assigned and cleaning chemical.

• Remove all garbage and recyclable items and place in the appropriate bins and area designated.
• Report any damage or repairs and maintenance needed to department head.
• Inform the Supervisor of any unusual events and communicate any special instructions during handover.
• Take good care of equipment and tool assigned.
• Participate in monthly inventory taking.

• Assist with proper recycling and composting
• Sanitizing all kitchen areas and equipment during the night shifts. This includes all ovens, steam kettles, mixers and other kitchen equipment as well as kitchen drains, sinks, floors and walls.
• Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the sanitization of the china , glass, and silver from the restaurant and kitchen areas.
• This role utilizes chemical cleaning compounds and therefore safe handling, and protective wear is of the upmost importance

Requirements:

• Strong command of the English language.
• Excellent commitment to service and teamwork.
• Ability to obtain a clean criminal record check.
• As our hotel is open 24/7, 365 days a year, we expect our Stewards to be flexible in working mornings, evenings, weekends, overnights and holidays.
• Ability to work evenings and overnight shifts

• Great attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• On the job training is provided
