Job Description

We currently have one (1) opportunity based out of Stouffville, ON for the position of:MANAGER – HUMAN RESOURCESResponsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Human Resources and Payroll Division for approximately 425 union and non-union employees across Canada
  • Oversee company payroll ensuring accuracy and compliance to applicable legislation, internal pay cycle timelines, and proper CRA and union remittances
  • Oversee the completion of internal payroll audits
  • Develop and implement human resources strategies and initiatives aligned with K-Line’s overall business strategy including compensation, diversity, equity and inclusion, HR and payroll technology, HR and payroll metrics and reporting, recruitment and onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, and employee and labour relations
  • Design and implement HR related company policies and best practices that align to K-Line’s mission, vision and values while ensuring compliance with provincial and federal legislation
  • Design and lead corporate initiatives which attract and retain talent, engage employees, and promote a healthy work environment
  • Provide on-going advice, consultation and guidance to Stakeholders, Managers and employees in various provinces across Canada on all matters related to HR, employee relations, and labour relations including collective agreement interpretation, grievances and investigations
  • Partner with the Training and Skills Development Division to deliver and/or source corporate training and development programs
  • Responsible for developing annual divisional budgets
  • Manage and maintain the non-union employee health and dental benefits plan and retirement benefit plan.
  • Lead the on-going corporate Covid-19 return to work plan
Experience & Education
  • Minimum ten (10) years direct human resources, labour relations and payroll management experience
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in a HR managerial capacity with a proven track record of exceptional coaching, mentoring and leadership
  • Comprehensive understanding of pay equity legislation, and direct experience utilizing job evaluation systems and developing compensation structures
  • Experience in a unionized environment required
  • Familiarity with ESA rules and regulations in various provinces across Canada an asset
  • CHRP/CHRL designation strongly preferred
  • Undergraduate degree in Business and/or Human Resources required
