We are seeking a System Administrator to support our IT Department.*What will you do: *

  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Take staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnose and solve hardware or software faults
  • Replace parts as required
  • Set up new users accounts and deal with password issues
  • Test and evaluate new technology
  • Lift and move Servers and Desktops
  • Active Directory user management (user accounts, security groups, distribution lists, passwords)
  • Troubleshoot and maintenance of IT hardware (iOS devices and Windows)
  • Asset management (inventory, repairs, configuring new machines)
  • Perform backups and restores
  • Set up and maintain AWS environments comfortably
  • Manage and maintain Office365
  • Work on DNS changes as required for all domain names
  • Create web servers as required
In order to be successful, you bring:
  • Post-Secondary Education in Information Technology
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • AWS Certification and Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certification (nice to have)
  • Availability to be on call after hours
  • Ability to lift and move Servers and Desktops
  • Ability to travel to other locations in BC for occasional visits to other sites.
  • Knowledge and experience with the following technologies:
  • Window Server 2008 / 2012
  • Active Directory
  • DNS / DHCP
  • Window 7 / 10
  • SonicWALL Firewall
  • Assembling desktops and servers
  • Office365
