A Great Instructing Opportunity for a Nurse!Instructing in our Health Care Assistant (HCA) Program(Williams Lake, BC) Discovery Community College are looking for the right individual to instruct our Health Care Assistant program in the Williams Lake, BC area using the curriculum provided by the College.Instructors should be caring and supportive with excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.The ideal applicant will be available to teach theory (19 weeks), lab (4 weeks), clinical (6 weeks) and follow practicum/preceptorships for another 6 weeks.This cohort starts on December 9th, 2024 and is on a 24 to 32 hour per week schedule (exact schedule will be advised).Following this initial cohort, there would be opportunity for ongoing instructing.The hourly wage range for this instructing position would be:

• For LPN - $31 to $33 per hour
• For RN- $38 to $42 per hour

• Passion for making a real difference!
• Current full registration with the BCCNM – required.
• Two or more years of full-time nursing experience – required.
  • Minimum 2800 hours of nursing experience
  • Nursing experience must include experience in acute and LTC care settings
• Ability to teach adult learners (mentoring / instructing)
  • Previous experience an asset (please forward examples)
