JOB POSTING #:2025-0117POSTING PERIOD:Monday, March 31, 2025 at 8:30 AM to Friday, April 4, 2025 at 4:30 PMDEPARTMENT:Economic DevelopmentUNION: Non-UnionJOB CODE:NU0663POSITION STATUS: Temporary Full-TimeGRADE/CLASS:NU12# OF POSITIONS:1RATE OF PAY:$96,213.56 to $116, 948.75 annuallySHIFT WORK REQ #39;D: NoDUTIES: Reporting to a departmental manager or designate, this position will provide overall management for every aspect of the design, development and implementation of major corporate–wide program initiatives and events, supervise and direct work effort of all resources (internal and vendor) assigned to the program. This position defines the requirements and approach to meet organizational goals which is comprised of multiple inter-dependent work streams spanning software elements, new and changed business processes, changes to organizational structure and capabilities.Initiates and promotes cross functional working relationships with project sponsors, business community, investors, developers, senior management, vendor and key clients within the Corporation; Manages the expectations and demands of various stakeholders; Mentors and develops leadership strength and acts as an information resource for the project. Negotiates resources and obtains financial, physical, or human resources to support projects or programs; establishes program schedule and integrates development of best practices, project standards, procedures, and quality objectives; Conducts reviews of the project’s status and associated staff.Responsible for vendor management including coordinating vendor activities; Oversees the development of Contracts, Service Level Agreements and the evaluation, selection and procurement of products and/or services from vendors; establishes and reviews project plans, schedules, and staffing requirements; manages and directs project team and removes roadblocks which may inhibit project success.Identifies and mitigates project risks and issues; Prepares Council reports and presents to council and/or senior management. Undertakes strategic communication targeted to the private sector, partnership development, business attraction, retention efforts, and public relations initiatives. Performs Occupational Healthamp; Safety duties as outlined in the Corporate Healthamp; Safety Program; Carry out other related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a University Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business or related field or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in Project Management, Leadership and Planning skills;
  • OR Must have Post Secondary College Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Business or related field or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency and a minimum of six (6) years of experience in Project Management, Leadership and Planning skills;
  • OR Must have an Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma plus one (1) year of post-secondary education in Engineering, Architecture, Business or related field from a Community College or University or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency and minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Project Management, Leadership and Planning skills;
  • Must have the ability to travel to offsite locations in a timelyamp; expedient manner as required. If method of travel is by vehicle a current valid and lawful driver’s licence is required in accordance with the Highway Traffic Act.
  • Must perform effectively in a multi-disciplined, fast paced environment that requires a high degree of personal organization, motivation, initiative, problems solving techniques and highly developed project management skills.
  • Must have proven success in implementing complex change projects.
  • Must have demonstrated proficiency in use of project management methodologies, tools and their application.
  • Must have proven leadership qualities and be both self motivated and a team player.
  • Must have exceptional skills in the areas of organization, prioritization, planning, and problem solving.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and consensus building skills.
  • Must have excellent written, verbal, research and presentation skills.
  • Possess computer literacy skills utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite of Products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Should have strong knowledge of municipal business and regulatory processes.
  • Should have knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, its regulation and knowledge of the hazards associated with the work.
  • Will be required to complete and remain current, per the requirements of the Corporation’s Management Certificate Program;
  • A physical demands analysis will be completed with the incumbent after approximately six months of occupying the position.
