Job Description

VCA Canada Tri Lake Animal Hospital & Referral Centre in Winfield, BC, is looking for a dedicated full time Technician Assistant to join our team. We are looking for great team players who would enjoy a fast-paced environment and are passionate about making a REAL difference in the lives of our patients and clients. Full disclosure - as we offer 24 hour care 7 days a week to our patients there will be weekend and night shifts as well as day time shifts!What you need

  • Previous veterinary experience is an asset
  • Exceptional client service skills that build trust and loyalty with clients
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with a dynamic and diverse team
  • Compassion and nurturing attitude when providing care to clients and patients
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient in stressful situations
  • Positive outlook and enthusiasm for learning
  • Initiative in carrying out assignments independently
Your role will be
  • Assisting Veterinarians and Technicians with various tasks and treatment of pet patients
  • Handling and maintaining surgical equipment, including setup, cleaning and sterilization
  • Providing compassionate care duties including feeding and walking patients
  • General hospital maintenance including cleaning kennels
