Part of Veolia #39;s role is to provide support services for capital projects within the Winnipeg Sewage Treatment Program (WSTP). The Interface Manager will be a part of a diverse team of both Veolia and City of Winnipeg employees (the Program Team) to assist in delivery of three (3) major projects worth approximately $3 billion dollars. The Interface Manager will work out of the City of Winnipeg Waste and Waste Engineering Department (1199 Pacific) and at the North End Sewage Treatment Plant (NEWPCC). Under the general direction of the Program Leader, the Interface Manager is responsible for assisting in the management and delivery of critical major capital projects required to upgrade the City of Winnipeg #39;s three (3) sewage treatment plants to meet Provincial effluent license limits and the Water Protection Act. This position focuses on the interfacing of three (3) critical projects at the NEWPCC which are individually valued at over $500 million, are fast-paced, highly complex, involve significant risk, and are public-facing. These projects are delivered using alternative procurement methods and require specialized knowledge and experience for successful delivery.Main Responsibilities:Provide expert advice and assistance during the Project Planning and Initiation Phase of individual major capital projects. This could include but is not limited to:Reviewing and assisting in the preparation of deliverables including Project Delivery Plan, Interface Management Protocols and contractor communication plansAssisting in the high-level Constructability Reviews and critical tie-ins into the existing infrastructureProvide leadership, expert advice, and assistance during the Project Development Phase of individual major capital projects. This could include but is not limited to:Participation in working level groupsParticipating and advising in the development of Contract documentsReview of Construction Management PlansReview of the Detailed Constructability Documents/DeliverablesReview of the Workforce management plansReview of schedules and cost estimatesParticipating in the development of commissioning plansProvide leadership, expert advice, and assistance during the Construction and Commissioning phase of individual major capital projects. This would include but is not limited to:Reviewing Contract Change Orders, Request for Information, Non-Conformance Reports, etc. to provide expert advice and inputManaging the communication and work outputs between all the contractors on site and with the operations and maintenance staff of the facilityReview all proposed shutdown scopes of work and coordinate with plant staff to ensure safe and efficient operations of the plantManagement of the interfaces between the various projects, stakeholders and the facility.Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
