Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic National Sales Manager to lead the sales team of a medical device manufacturing and distribution company. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of sales and management experience in the healthcare industry, covering all medical segments, and a proven track record of managing and mentoring successful sales teams. This role requires a strong understanding of medical distributors in Canada, as well as experience with alternative care markets, Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), and Regional Health Authorities/Shared Service Organizations (SSOs). In addition to serving and supporting Indigenous communities, the National Sales Manager will play a key role in expanding our reach into mainstream markets. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and increase market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including indigenous communities, healthcare providers, medical distributors, GPOs, Regional Health Authorities, Shared Service Organizations and medical manufacturing partners.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of sales strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to company executives and direct reports.
RequirementsEDUCATIONamp; TRAINING
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related healthcare field.
WORK EXPERIENCEamp; ACCOMPLISHMENTS
  • Experience in the healthcare industry focusing on sales across various medical segments.
  • Proven experience in managing and mentoring sales teams.
  • Experience with regional and national medical distributors in Canada.
  • Experience working with GPOs, Regional Health Authorities, and SSOs.
SKILLSamp; COMPETENCIES
  • Strong knowledge of electronic data interchange (EDI) systems and their application in the healthcare industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and drive results.
OTHER
  • Living in Winnipeg is not mandatory but is considered an asset.
