Job Description

CANADA CARTAGEPosition Title: Service writer/Parts specialist Location: Winnipeg, MB Duration: Full time Monday-FridayDescription:We are looking for a dedicated, hard working individual to join our maintenance team as a full time service writer/parts person that is passionate about ensuring operational success alongside our dedicated and loyal employees. Located at 490 Lucas Ave, Winnipeg, MB, the person will be reporting to the fleet manager and will be providing them with updates as required. Working in a fast paced environment, you will purchase parts from our suppliers, tracking inventory and serving the need of the fleet.Position Summary:Monday to Friday 7:00 am-3:30pm Answer calls to the shop ad plan repairs with customers Check parts availability and pricing, order parts through various vendors, input parts pricing on internal estimates Responsible for the input of parts invoices into the Transman system Perform daily, weekly and monthly cycle counts Estimates for damage repairs-in house repairs coordinate all repair costs and pictures and send to safety compliance and risk management Daily review of units placed out to service for damage/accident repairs Pick up parts at vendors as neededResponsibilities and Requirements:Daily communication with vendors requesting updates and timelines on equipment out of service Daily communication with vendors to schedule CCS units for approved maintenance repairs Daily purchase order distribution to vendors on approved repairs for CCS units Daily communication with vendors requesting updates on purchase order exception reports Estimates for damage repairs –coordinate all repair estimates and estimates, review with service managers and send for safety compliance and risk management Third party billing-review completed work orders and obtain purchase orders before closing work orders Other duties as assignedCompetencies and QualificationsAble to work Monday to Friday High school diploma or equivalency Valid drivers license Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Superior computer literacy Able to lift up to 30lbs Technical knowledge of truck parts an asset Successfully pass a background checkWhy Work for Canada Cartage:Dedicated 24-Hour Dispatch Coverage Modern, well maintained Fleet; professionally detailed, inside and out, on a regular basis Industry leading benefits package including company-matching pension plan Stability; Full Time, Steady Hours and consistent year round work Safety-oriented company with a safety program in place Opportunities for career advancements through training and development Company perks such as company phone, uniform/safety boots allowance and discount programs for gym memberships, auto services, cell phone plans, etc. Awarded as a Top Fleet Employer in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 Work with a company namedquot;Canada #39;s Best Employer 2018, 2019, 2021amp; 2022 quot; in Transportationamp; Logistics by ForbesApplication Process:We would like to thank all those expressing an interest in this position; however only the candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.Committed to employment equality, Canada Cartage Systems LP encourages applications from Aboriginal people, persons with a disability, members of visible minority groups, women, and all other protected class.
