Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Developer with a minimum of six (6) years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, maintain, and support new and existing application solutions while ensuring their optimal performance and alignment with business requirements. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, architects, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.This is a 6 month contract with potential to extend up to 24 months.Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain applications in alignment with business needs.
  • Analyze, design, and implement application architecture and system components.
  • Collaborate with architects to ensure appropriate technology solutions.
  • Perform quality assurance activities, including code reviews and system testing.
  • Create and maintain databases, including stored procedures and version control.
  • Document code, system configurations, and operational guides.
  • Provide production support and resolve application issues promptly.
  • Contribute to the integration of third-party tools and applications.
  • Adhere to established development standards and best practices.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in application development, maintenance, and support.
  • 5+ years as a PowerBuilder Developer.
  • 3+ years of experience with relational database design, development, and analysis.
  • 2+ years maintaining and enhancing legacy applications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, including stored procedures and database administration.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Team Foundation Server).
  • Strong knowledge of n-tier technology platforms, information security, and enterprise-level applications.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with .NET programming and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based services (e.g., Azure, AWS) and database tools.
  • Background in migrating Sybase to SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Expertise in PowerBuilder/MSSQL application enhancements and integration.
