Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring that our purchasing activities align with the company’s goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management, as well as experience with MRP and SAP systems. Your expertise will help us optimize our purchasing strategies and maintain cost-effective operations.Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with organizational objectives.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality products and services are delivered on time.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to secure favorable contracts.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance to inform sourcing decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to forecast material requirements and ensure timely procurement.
  • Monitor supplier compliance with contractual obligations and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and vendor performance metrics.
Requirements
  • A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Experience in a purchasing supervisory capacity.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to effectively communicate with vendors.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems for procurement management.
  • Experience in sourcing materials or products relevant to our industry.
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess pricing, quality, and delivery performance of suppliers.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments while managing multiple priorities effectively.
