Job Description

Seasonal Freshwater Fishing GuideDuties:

  • Work with other guides to plan guests fishing days and avoid conflicts of fishing the same locations as other guides;
  • Guide lodge guests daily to catch and release northern pike, lake trout, walleye and Arctic grayling;
  • Prepare shore lunch for guests;
  • Keep boat and motor clean and in good operating condition;
  • On a rotation basis keep the shore lunch room clean and stocked with supplies;
  • Work on shore as required
Qualifications:
  • Current first aid and CPR certificate;
  • Pleasure craft boat operators certification;
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a freshwater fishing guide;
  • Experience operating boats on large bodies of water;
  • Fly fishing experience an asset;
  • Preference given to candidates completing Freshwater Fishing Guide Certification Benefits
  • Room and board provided;
  • Gratuities (most in USD$)
  • Transportation available between Saskatoon and the lodge at the beginning and end of the operating season;
  • Season runs from approx June 1 - July 22
