Primary Role:Responsible for specialized distribution center tasks in order picking, receiving, shipping, and returns or may have a generalized task working in other departments.Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:
  • Complete tasks such as sorting, picking, stocking, and staging using RF scanners.
  • Load and unload materials to and from designated storage areas, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles.
  • Stack or pile materials, such as boxes of products, ladders, and/or pallets of construction industrial materials.
  • Maintains condition of work area (i.e. free of trash, product in the correct location, etc.).
  • Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding work environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Nature and Scope:
  • Select correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instructions. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.
  • Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.
  • None.
Work Environment:
  • Usually located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort, such as dust, fumes, or odors.
  • Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.
Education and Experience:
  • HS Diploma or GED is strongly preferred. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6 months and years of relative experience.
  • Forklift Experience Considered an Asset (Counterbalance, Walkie, Raymond Reach)
