Job Description

Role Summary:The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is meant to prepare pump, spare parts, and other products for shipment using Flowserve’s packaging procedures to the customer and/or job site. Preparing shipping docs for multiple carriers, scheduling and loading freight. Receive all incoming Purchase orders in a timely manner, Including Bar stock, Raw Stock, UPS, Fed-X, and LTL carriers. Perform computer transaction and all requirements of incoming orders that apply to special Handling requirements of the Standard Practice & Procedures listed in the Procedure Manual.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit and use circular saw, Miter saw and hand tools. The employee is regularly required to lift or exert up to 40 pounds.Work hours: Day shift, Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm. Must be flexible to work late shipments and weekends, when necessary.Responsibilities & Requirements: Responsibilities:

  • Boxing for pump and pump components for Domestic and International shipments, following proper SPP. Good working knowledge of Import and Export Regulations.
  • Prepare pumps, spare parts, and other products for final shipment to the customer and/or job site.
  • Pulling orders for spare parts, move parts from stock to shipping. Visual inspection of parts prior to shipping.
  • Preparation and completion of all appropriate documentation and computer transactions including: Packing lists, Commercial invoice, Certificate of Origins.
  • Process Bill of Ladings for all carriers using Flowserve systems.
  • Utilize UPS, FED EX and DHL.
  • Schedule, label and load freight.
  • Understand shipping specs for different customers.
  • Review all orders to determine if they were picked correctly.
  • Fulfill all responsibilities and tasks asked by Supervisor.
  • Unload, verify and sign freight off from all incoming carriers.
  • Verify quantities, part numbers and all outside processes are correct for all parts.
  • Match up receipt travelers with parts.
  • Inspect parts for damage. Notify correct Department for corrective action.
  • To accurately place materials on shelves, in racks or other designated storage areas in an orderly manner.
  • Attaches identifying tag or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
  • RGA (Returned Goods Authorization). Unload returned goods off truck. Place in the RGA Area. Look up RGA in computer system, record information, print out RGA form then place it with RGA. Move RGA to Field Service
  • Ensure warehouse/equipment is maintained on a regular basis.
  • Execute daily work instructions received from Lead Hand or Manager in a timely manner.
  • Manage housekeeping activities
  • Assisting Machinists and Millwrights with various duties as required
  • Loading and delivering materials, and using a variety of tools and machines such as blowtorches, forklifts, levels, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment.
  • Safely operate all the necessary equipment in work area.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • Be able to identify product by size, type, style, color or product code.
  • Solid reading skills – must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping tickets to items picked.
  • Basic math skills and reasoning skills.
  • Certification of power-truck equipment.
  • Ability to understand and execute instructions.
  • General understanding of the warehouse and footprint
  • Operate inventory control equipment, i.e., bar-coding equipment, handheld devices.
  • Able to move/lift up to 40 Lbs. unassisted
  • Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment
  • Adhere to safe work habits, rules and practices, including the correct use of safety devices and equipment
  • Good communication, interpersonal and organization skills.
  • Goal oriented with focus on customer service is required.
  • Proactive, self-starter with a hands-on approach to solving problems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
.Preferred Experience / Skills:
  • Warehouse and distribution experience
  • Working towards Materials or Parts Technician
  • Knowledge on Oracle (ERP/MRP) will be preferred not mandatory
