We provide residential and commercial heavy equipment services including manual labour and machinery to perform demolition, excavation, backfill, trucking, road building, site preparation (cutting trees, garage-boathouse pads), landscaping, septic installations etc. We are located approx 35 mins North of Peterborough.Job SummaryNorthey Contracting is seeking a highly motivated, dedicated individual with a positive attitude to join our NC team as a Dump Truck Operator/Labourer.* As a small company this individual will be performing many different tasks throughout the day, not just operating the dump truck all day. Varying from operating the dump truck to manual labour including raking, packing, assisting with building rock walls/landscaping, spreading and moving materials by hand, etc. *Responsibilities and DutiesThe successful candidate will primarily be transporting aggregates and materials from pits to job sites while operating a dump truck. They will also perform manual labour including raking, grading, shoveling, assisting with building rock walls/landscaping, using a packer and may occasionally operate a skid steer or mini excavator. They will be responsible for cleaning, daily inspections and regular maintenance of the trucks and equipment.Qualifications and SkillsThe successful applicant must have a valid DZ license, AZ is an asset to operator Tandem/Triaxle dump trucks. Heavy equipment certification is an asset. Minimum 3 years experience operating a dump truck. Experience in the construction industry is an asset.The successful applicant will be required to provide a clean driver’s abstract.This is a Seasonal, full-time position with a 48 hour work week average, must be willing to work long hours and occasional weekends. Overtime paid out after 44 hours per week. Must be a team member, working together until projects are completed.Competitive wage to be discussed reliant on experience.Please email resume.
